This will ensure your tattoo will settle down. Before you remove your dressing soak in warm clean water. Once completely soaked, remove your dressing slowly as it may stick a little. This is normal. Once the dressing is totally removed, using soap and water only lathered in your hands, give your new tattoo a wash. Do this gently! Once you have removed all the excess matter, dab dry with clean kitchen roll or a clean towel. Never touch your new tattoo with unwashed hands or let anyone else touch it with unwashed hands. You will run a risk of infection if you do!
Remove dressing by soaking first with warm soapy water, dab dry, do not
re-cover. That evening wash again 1 hour before going to bed. Do not apply any cream at all.
Day 2:
Wash as instructed in morning, then afternoon, then evening again 1 hour before going to bed, Do not apply any cream.
Wash as instructed in morning, then afternoon. If your tattoo feels as if it is too dry or has a pulling sensation then apply only the recommended cream (Bepanthen or Preparation H) and only in small amounts. Do not swamp your tattoo, only enough to absorb!
Day 4:
Repeat as in Day 3 and continue untill all the light scabbing has gone.
